Spanish Brocatello
The name eludes to a gold threaded brocade fabric, probably from medieval times. It has been quarried near Tortosa, Catalonia since the 1st century BC. This is one of the classic marbles and has been widely used and was particular popular in 18 th and early 19 th century British fireplaces.
